The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The movement is signed AWW Co, Waltham, Mass and it has the serial number 22,954,662 which dates it back to 1919. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The half hunter case is gold plated with enamelled black Roman numerals to the front. The case was made by the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison.

The small lens to the front is glass; it has light marking but nothing too significant. The winding crown pushes to open the front cover which reveals a plastic lens which again has light marking but is very acceptable.

The enamel dial is signed T Pickett Ltd, Portsmouth (the original retailer / jeweller), Waltham, USA. It is in very nice condition with special blued steel half hunter hands (the hour hand is very slightly out of shape), a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
