A Mahogany 30 Hour Longcase Clock by Uglow of Stratton ,(North Cornwall), Circa 1820

Description

A very attractive 30 hour longcase clock by uglow of stratton circa 1820 with painted dial and restored movement.

This clock has a fine mahogany case and a typical flower and bird painted dial with date wheel to lower half. The clock works well and keeps good time.

Especially attractive to those who might have a cottage or period home in cornwall as this maker was well known and produced beautiful country clocks much favoured in the north cornwall/north devon area.the family name is still associated with stratton which is close to bude.

Height overall. 79.5 inches.

Width at widest point. 20 inches.

Width of base of trunk. 17 inches.

Width at middle of trunk. 12.5 inches.

Hood 20 inches by 10.5 inches.

Delivery and set up can be arranged.
