Antique Thomas Russell Stem Winding Pocket Watch.

1900 - 1920
Description

Antique Thomas Russell stem winding pocket watch.

The watch has a stem winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is within 2 - 3 minutes over a 24 hour period. The movement is signed Thomas Russell & son, Liverpool, 10 jewels, Swiss.

The watch measures 50.5 mm diameter excluding the stem & crown. The gold plated case is stamped Illinous Watch Case Co, Elgin. U.S.A. and This case guaranteed to wear 10 years. The case has light surface marks from use but overall it is in nice condition.

The plastic watch lens is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The dial is signed Thomas Russell & Son, Liverpool with Swiss made at the bottom. The dial has faint hairline cracks and slight nibbling around the centre hole although hardly noticeable to the naked eye.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

Price includes worldwide postage.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
