A 12 Drawer Collectors Cabinet in Mahogany and Satin Walnut by Messrs Watkins and Doncaster Circa 1900

Description

A good and very versatile mahogany and satin walnut collectors cabinet by watkins and doncaster and bearing the strand address cartouche.circa 1900.

This cabinet was originally designed to house, protect and display a collection of british lepidoptera but will serve a multitude of collecting pursuits.

The twelve drawers all have the original closely fitted glazed tops and are base lined with cork under a white paper lining. Re-papering is one of our specialities and will be carried out to the requirements of the buyer if so wished.

The original lock and key are present and fully functional. The drawers are suitable for imperial length pins but will accommodate a continental pin if just touching the glass.
