This beautifully-shaped and elegant ANTIQUE PAPIER MACHE & LACQUERED WOOD CHAIR dates from circa 1840.

The central panel is painted with rich fruit and bordered by inlaid MOTHER OF PEARL.

The top has a circular medallion painted with a butterfly surrounded by MOTHER OF PEARL fern leaves.

It is original throughout.
