An Extremely Rare William IV Silver Cayenne Caster.

A gorgeous and rare silver cayenne caster tub of barrel shape. This unusual and sought after piece has a reeded pedestal foot and barrel cylindrical body and pierced removable lid. To the inside is corked silver gilt spoon. These extremely rare items were for dispensing spice (primarily cayenne) at the table and can be used with the interior spoon or the pierced lid. A good, collectable item.

Condition :- very good, with no holes or splits. There are two minor blemishes, commensurate with age and use.
