A Brass Girandole Mirror with the Figure of Neptune

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a late Victorian- early 20th Century very ornate and well made brass Girandole mirror, with three beautifully cast candle sconces.

The head of Neptune is at a the top and at the bottom of the mirror with a very detailed brass surround. On either side of Neptune's head at the top are two mythological bird figures - more easily seen in photo 1.

It is in excellent condition, including the bevelled mirror, and it still has the original brass back with what looks like a signature or stamp on it.

It is very hard to photograph brass to show the fine details as the colour distorts giving a greenish tinge; in reality this is a lovely deep brass yellow in colour.

The mirror measures 50cm in length and approximately 35cm in width.

The mirror is very heavy, but we have included the costs of postage and package within the UK mainland only, in the price.
