Gents 1920s Tavannes Cushion Cased Wrist Watch

Description

Gents 1920s Tavannes cushion cased wrist watch.

The watch has a good quality Swiss hand-winding movement, with 15 jewels and four adjustments, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Tavannes Watch Co.

The watch measures 31mm wide excluding the winding crown and 31mm high excluding the lugs. The case is gold plated and was made by the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. Both the case and the lens are in good condition for a 1920s piece with just minor marking.

The dial is in its original finish; there are some marks but nothing too serious. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
