Antique Period Georgian Mahogany Chest on Chest - Tallboy

Description

Classic 'period' Georgian mahogany chest on chest or tallboy as some people call them, dating from around the 1790's period. It's in good original condition, with original brass handles, plus a wonderful colour & patina. The top cornice has dental mouldings, the sides have grooved canted corners & it sits on bracket feet. It all seems to be original, on the top, back & drawer bottoms. There are locks on all the drawers, but I don't know if they still work. This chest is very heavy & it separates into two sections. It's also not too high like some of these pieces.

Depth - 22", 56 cm

Height - 69.3, 176 cm
