A Good Mahogany English Fusee Wall Clock

Description

A good mahogany ENGLISH WALL CLOCK by E. White, London.

The eight-day chain-driven fusee timepiece movement is in full working order and is contained in its original mahogany case with narrow surround; cast brass bezel and original blued steel spade hands. Unusually, apart from the dial, the movement also is engraved with the makers name. Dial: 12ins (30.5cms) diameter.

*Edward White who worked at 20 Cockspur Street (previously Dent) was a watch, chronometer and clockmaker of some repute. His work is comparable to the best in London at the time. Prize Medal winners in London (1862); Dublin (1865) and Paris (1867).
