Reclining Armchair C.1820.

Description

Fabulous early 19th.c. mahogany reclining armchair c.1820. Stylish design with gracefully shaped high backrest, raked seat and slim sabre shaped legs and arm supports. A brass bar engages with holes in the frame to allow the back to be held in three alternative positions. Presented unrestored with damage to a couple of the turned spindles on the sides. Loose seat and back cushions, a webbed seat, black rexine to the arms laid over the original leather.

Dimensions: width 26", depth 34", height 39".
