Description

A fine quality mahogany inlaid antique music cabinet by Edwards & Roberts Of London. Having a rectangular top veneered in plum pudding mahogany and with a wonderful central marquetry and pen-work panel depicting the arts in various exotic woods and banded in thuya with a kingwood veneered edge. The twin rectangular panelled doors again having stunning marquetry and pen-work inlaid panels, opening to reveal a mahogany shelved interior originally used to store sheet music. With solid mahogany sides cross banded in satinwood and with a sycamore and boxwood line inlaid oval panel, the whole supported on four turned and fluted mahogany supports united by a shaped under-tier with a further marquetry and pen-work inlaid panel. English circa 1900

Dimensions: 20.5" wide x 14" deep x 44" high

Condition: This music cabinet has been re-polished in our workshops
