Pair Regency or Empire Style Upholstered Side Chairs C.1810.

Description

Beautiful and rare pair of Regency or Empire style upholstered side chairs c.1810. Mahogany frames of particularly good patina with a carved lotus leaf motif beside the seat borrowed from Egyptian art (a fashionable design source during the Regency period). Shaped front leg with scroll detail at knee and foot. Presented in unrestored condition, with some old damage and distressed silk brocade covers.

Dimensions: width 19", depth 18", height 32".
