Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 1750s.
. It has been newly recovered in a cream self-patterned velour fabric over the existing upholstery which is in good condition. Would make a wonderful desk chair.

Solid and sturdy. General wear and marks commensurate with age. Old mends to the back legs. Feet appear to have had castors on at some point which have been removed (see photos).
