Antique Georgian Oak Ladder Back Chair

Description

A characterful antique Georgian oak ladder back chair dating from the late 18th Century. In a warm coloured oak with deep rich patina, it has shaped arms, drop in seat, chamfered legs and “H” stretcher . It has been newly recovered in a cream self-patterned velour fabric over the existing upholstery which is in good condition. Would make a wonderful desk chair.

Construction/Wood:

Oak

Condition Report:

Solid and sturdy. General wear and marks commensurate with age. Old mends to the back legs. Feet appear to have had castors on at some point which have been removed (see photos).

Width: 20.5 inches

Depth: 16 inches

Height to Seat: 18 inches

Overall Height: 37 inches
