Description

A very rare Art Deco Louis Majorelle walnut and nickel plated drinks trolley. The lower shelf bears the impressed logo "Majorelle, Nancy". The factory burnt down during the 1st.W.W. in 1916 and was rebuilt and reopened after the war when Majorelle's designs leaned more towards the lines of Art Deco. He died in 1926 and the factory closed in 1931. This superb trolley has a tri coloured parquetry top with good quality nickel plated galleries and octagonal handles, the lower shelf with conforming gallery. The inverted stepped ends polished in the same 3 coloured manor and are joined by a nickel plated bars which support the lightly sprung casters. Sizes:- Width...31.25''...79.5cm.
