Antique Late Victorian Flamed Mahogany Writing Bureau C1890

Antique late Victorian Flamed Mahogany Wvriting Bureau and dating from around 1890.

Constructed of quality mahogany it has a polished top and flamed mahogany fall front with cross banded edge and fine satinwood stringing and above a long oak lined drawer with original swan neck drop handles and with a lover to each side. Below the drawer is a deep carved and shaped frieze and it stands on four cabriole legs with shell carving to the shoulders.

The fall front opens to reveal a row of drawers with satinwood fronts and all of which are oak lined with small brass handles and they sit above a shaped frieze and pigeon holes. To the centre there is a mahogany door with banded edge and fine stringing and with small internal drawer.

Measures:42" high x 29" desk height x 22" deep x 46" wide

In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
