Carved and Inlaid Oak Door Panel, with Caryatid Guardians

This superbly carved and inlaid panel was originally the door of a French Gothic Oak Cupboard

In the centre of the door we have a beautifully inlaid panel, bordered by reeded columns, on the outer side there are a male and female Caryatid, these beautiful studies are very finely carved

This is a very well executed piece, the inlaid panel has little shrinkage otherwise it is in excellent condition

The panel is 20” high, 24” wide and 5” deep
