Antique X Frame Stool, Piano Seat, English Edwardian Dressing Chair, C.1910

Description

This is an Edwardian, antique 'X' frame stool dating to c.1910.

In a neo classical style this rosewood stool has scrolled arms with slatted supports. The X frame is detailed with boxwood stringing with a central bone and tulipwood inlay of foliate scolls encompassing a central stylised vase motif to both sides.

The legs are united by twin cross stretchers making for a sturdy seat whilst maintaining the delicate form.

The traditionally upholstered seat in a floral fabric of blues, greens and creams finished with blue brocade trim.

Superb quality and a stunning piece presented in very good antique condition. Solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed & polished ready for the home.
