Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
This is a very old and well worn piece, the wooden mirror frame was made before the French revolution, the frame has lost some of its lustre now but much of the gold finish is still visible and has never been refinished and it comes with its original looking glass

The mirror frame is carved and decorated with a Laurel Wreath and Feather Quills, the beauty of the original mercury glass enhances the look of this piece and despite the deterioration still has quite a large reflective area

The mirror Frame is 35” high, 19” wide, the glass is 19” high and 15” wide
