Description

French spelter sculpture of a whistling boy by Vital Cornu (1851- 1927). The original title plaque is located on the front of the plinth and reads,

Siffleur par Vital Cornu, with the signature on the back and the makers stamp.

The statue depicts a young boy standing with a scythe and branch locked in his arms behind his back whilst whistling. The patination is a lovely combination of colours.

This sculpture is in good condition with just slight age wear in places to the patination.

Height 26" - 66cm

Width 13" - 33cm

Depth 7" - 18cm
