Description

A handsome William IV period tea caddy dating to around 1830. Standing on four original turned bun feet and with the two ring handles to the side, the elegant caddy is inlaid with intricate Mother of Pearl shell.

The interior reveals two removable tea liners each with a hinged lid, one inlaid with B for Black Tea and the other G for Green Tea. Between the two cannisters is the glass mixing bowl, which would have been used to mix the black and green teas to taste and then placed into a teapot.

Complete with a working key and remaining in excellent condition. The lid measuring 12 1/2" x 6 1/4" and standing 7 1/4" tall.
