The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is signed AWW Co, Waltham, USA and it has the serial number 24,663,148 which dates it back to 1924. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The full hunter case is the gold plated Star model from the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. There are a few minor indentations but nothing too serious. The movement would have been imported from the US to be cased and retailed in the UK.

The winding crown pushes to open the front cover. The signed enamel dial is in lovely condition with just a tiny nibble to the edge of the subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel hands and an outer minute track. The plastic lens is in good condition.
The watch comes with a later gold plated double watch chain or albert. Each side measures 23cm long including the clasp, short piece of chain and T-bar.
