London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
Antique pole screen dating to c.1850 in the early Victorian period.

Anchored by a substantial tripod base, the cabriole legs are richly embellished with carved scrolled toes and foliate detail to the knees. The bulb and trumpeted form of the pole support is balanced by the inverted finial beneath and upwards to the delicate finial sitting atop the screen pole.

The original brass twist lock holds the screen at the desired height with the screen reverse professionally re-upholstered in a luxurious striped fabric edged in brocade trim.
Superb quality and a stunning piece presented in very good antique condition. Solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed & polished ready for the home.
