Victorian antique pier cabinet dating to c.1880.
The glazed door is complete with working lock and key decorated with an elaborate cast brass escutcheon. The outer frame being decorated in light and dark stringing to match the cabinet design.
The cabinet is decorated with classical, foliate, apple marquetry above and to the sides. A decorative bead surmounts the door and is terminated either side with ormolu swags of scroll sand foliage.
The newly baize interior features twin shelves perfect for displaying items or storing books.
A fine cabinet in good antique condition. Solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed & polished ready for the home.
