Antique Fold Over Card Table, Side Table, Demi Lune, Hall Console English c.1800

English, Georgian antique fold over card or games table.

Dating to c.1800 and displaying the refinement and influence of Sheraton's distinctive style, this table rises on square section, tapered legs beneath a demi-lune surface edged with a delicate cross band enclosed in a string detail. Under the top the plain frieze is finished in a butterfly mahogany veneer with matching string detail to the lower edge.

The 'flying' rear legs open with the original brass hinging offering support to the fold over top that reveals a professionally replaced green baize playing surface.

A super table that offers dual purpose in excellent antique condition. Solid joints and construction.
