Antique European oak sideboard or dresser dating to the latter part of the 19th Century.
Within the scroll moulded frieze between the upper and lower cupboards two drawers emerge with elaborate 'kissing fish' handles.

The upper cupboard, complete with working locks and keys, is divided into three sections defined by four sets of twin turned columns sat on carved brackets. The central panel carving mirroring the lower cupboard doors.

Glazed side display units open revealing that the central panel door swing allowing generous storage. The pediment carving provides capitols for the columns and unites and balances the form.
A bold and wonderful piece with warmth and purpose.
