English, antique, late 17th century sword chest, c.1690.

Raised on large, scalloped bracket feet, this chest is made in the classic 6 board design and displays the most wonderful patina to the aged English oak.

Dressed with the original, iron lock plate, inside features the original candle box and later strap hinges.

Robust, gnarled and a real joy this box is presented in good antique condition, waxed, polished and ready for the home.
