Antique Chest of Drawers, English Walnut Mid Georgian Tallboy, c.1750

Antique chest of drawers dating to c.1750 in the mid-Georgian period.

An absolutely stunning chest of drawers with feather banding and inlaid boxwood stringing, full of character and the most wonderful patina to the well figured walnut

The three oak lined, graduated drawers feature chamfered edges and are inlaid with a perimeter boxwood string. Rare to find, they are fitted with the original brass, batwing drop pulls and keyhole escutcheons behind which the iron locks exist.

Raised on bracket feet the chest stands atop a concave moulding and is softened by canted corners with fluted detail.

Superb quality and a stunning piece presented in very good antique condition. Solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed & polished ready for the home.
