London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
English Late Regency button-backed library chair in a beautiful aged burgundy red leather.

The use of mahogany and brass studs frame the padded seat panels beautifully. With wonderful patina, the bow fronted leather seat is raised up on turned, tapering front legs terminating in brass capped castors.

The use of mahogany gives this piece solidity and a deep rich colour that perfectly compliment the leather and brass. The arched rails of the seat back frame are flanked by oblique columns and decorated with pared back motifs that lock together and harmonise the design.

The overall appeal of this stunning accent piece would grace any room.
Superb quality and a stunning piece presented in excellent antique condition. Solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed & polished.
