Glazed Antique Victorian bookcase cabinet, c.1880.
The Swan-neck bonnet-top pediment is carved with foliate detail on moulded plinth and plain frieze above three locking, glazed doors with original brass furniture and arched, carved detail to the top. Inside the adjustable shelves are complete with attractive scalloped leather edging featuring a blind embossed guilloche, gold embossed floral motif and attached to the shelves with brass domed studs.
In the lower cabinet, three pine lined drawers are dressed with original, swagged handles on stylised foliate, stamped brass back plates. Below are three cupboards with triple field panels, the uppermost decorated with floral carving, securing generous storage behind. The whole stands upon a plinth base and bun feet
