Antique Astragal Glazed Bookcase Display Cabinet Late Victorian English Cupboard

This is an antique, English glazed bookcase from the late Victorian period c.1880.

Raised on a low profile plinth with bracketed corners, this stunning bookcase is in superb condition with a deep, lustrous shine to the well figured mahogany.

Three astragal glazed doors retain their original glass and are complete with working locks featuring inset brass keyhole linings and subtly moulded brass closer strips. Inside, the original shelves locate into preformed slides offering bespoke positioning.

In perfect proportion, the frieze separates the cupboard from the dental moulding beneath the elegant moulded top all of which displays a wonderful sheen.
