Antique Waltham Open Faced Pocket Watch, 1919

1900 - 1920
Description

Antique Waltham open faced pocket watch in beautiful condition.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, with 15 jewels, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around one to two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed AWW Co, Waltham, Mass with the serial number 22,538,080 which dates it back to 1919. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The gold plated case was made by the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case is in lovely condition and the engine turned detail is still nice and crisp.

The watch glass is in lovely condition too.

The signed is in very nice condition and has blued steel Breguet style hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
