A Small Scale George III Style Mahogany Bureau Bookcase

1900 - 1920
Description

A small scale George III Style mahogany bureau bookcase. The upper section having a dentil moulded cornice above twin astragal glazed doors enclosing an adjustable shelved interior. The lower section having a mahogany sloping fall front which opens to reveal a well fitted interior with a baize lined writing surface, pigeon holes and drawers. Above an arrangement of two over three graduating oak lined mahogany drawers with traditional brass swan neck handles, solid mahogany sides and raised on shaped ogee bracket feet. The locks are all stamped VR. Late Victorian Period in the George III Style, English circa 1890-1900

Dimensions: 70" high x 26" wide x 18" deep at base x 9" deep at top

Condition: This bureau bookcase is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
