Antique Pocket Watch by Rotherham & Sons

Description

Antique pocket watch by Rotherham & Sons, circa 1910s.

The watch has a very good quality stem-winding movement, 17 jewels, adjusted which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. Of particular note is the interesting regulator. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated. The front of the case is in good condition and there are a few little indentations and a 1cm scratch to the back.

The watch glass is in good condition with just a couple of minor nibbles to the bevelled edge.

The white enamel dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. There are a couple of short faint hairline cracks towards the bottom of the dial but they are barely visible to the naked eye.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
