Fine Victorian Macassar Ebony Centre Table

Description

A superb quality Victorian centre table. The oval tilt top with subtle boxwood inlay and gilded brass beading above a moulded edge. The frieze with further boxwood line inlay and bolder gilded brass beading. The base has 4 well turned columns each with boxwood lines and attractive gilded brass mounts and supported on 4 out swept legs with further gilded mounts and standing on brass and white porcelain castors. The centre finished with 2 turned and gilt mounted finials, one above and one below. Made from fine Macassar Ebony wood which has properties that allow a very high shine finish with secondary wood of mahogany. Very good quality and in excellent condition. Transports in 2 pieces. Size:- Width...48''...122cm. Depth...36''...91.5cm. Height...29.25''...74.5cm. Delivery to most of U.K. £45.
