Description

An English William IV period terrestrial globe on stand. The mahogany tripod base with carved detail to the legs and turned column. The circular globe support with months of the year and star sign sections showing some signs of wear. The globe held within a typical revolving brass fitting with longitude degrees. This attractive globe has a Scandinavian, Jordglobe world map by "Svenska Bokhandelscentralen A.B.S." of Stockholm. The whole in good condition, fully cleaned and waxed.

Size - Max height 36''..92cm. Width/diameter 19''..49cm. Globe diameter 13''..33cm.
