Antique English Sterling Silver Tea Caddy - London 1899

Description

A very handsome late Victorian tea caddy made from a good gauge of English Sterling Silver with a full hallmark for London 1899. The makers mark is also present, WG over JL into a shield - Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co: William Gibson & John Lawrence Langman. The underside is also signed by the famous silversmith's of 112 Regent Street, London.

The hinged lid fits well and the top crowned wit a carved ebony finial. Excellent condition, measuring 4" x 3" x 4 1/2" tall to top of finial. Weight: 5.56 Troy Ounces / 173 Grams.
