Small Longcase Clock by Hinksman of Madely

Description

A small Staffordshire 'Cottage' oak longcase clock. A flat moulded hood pediment with fretwork. Gilded front and rear column capitals. A square brass dial with silvered chapter ring. Cast corner spandrels.

A 30 hour mechanism striking the hours on a bell.

Hinksman of Madeley is recorded in Baillies 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World' book as working Circa 1750.
