Antique George III Mahogany Chest on Chest C1780

Antique George III Mahogany Chest on Chest and dating from around 1780. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a cornice top with Greek key moulding and a wide fret work frieze. The top chest has two short drawers over three long graduated drawers, all of which are oak lined with original brass handles.The sides of the chest have canted and reeded corners. The bottom chest is moulded to the top with three long graduated drawers all of which are oak lined with original brass handles. It is moulded to the base and stands on shaped bracket feet.

The top lifts off the base for ease of transport.

Measures: 77" high x 21" deep x 45" wide

In very good condition with lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
