Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The frieze is decorated with handsome applied "panelling" and further beadwork can be found around its lower edge. It is supported on a typical Gillows tapering octagonal base, with its bold gadrooned collar, leading to reeded legs with pretty matching paterae to both sides of each leg.
Complete with its original cast brass lion's paw feet and castors. 36ins (91.5cms) wide. An exceptional table.
