A Rare Victorian Chester Silver Muffineer.

A handsome example of a hallmarked silver muffineer. There rare and collectable items are rather like small casters and were used for sprinkling a combination of powdered sugar and cinnamon onto muffins and other breads and cakes. The body is of traditional baluster shape, on a plinth foot. The lid has attractive foliar piercing and a pad finial. A useful, decorative and collectable item.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits. There is a tiny line across the back, barely noticeable and commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Full marks to body and corresponding part marks to lid.

Height :- 10.75 cms.
