Gents Silver 1920s Cushion Cased Wrist Watch

Description

A gents silver 1920s cushion cased wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 31mm wide excluding the winding crown and 31mm high excluding the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Glasgow (import mark), 1924 with an importer’s mark of AGR for Arthur Rendell. The case is in good condition with just one small indentation to the back.

The lens is in good condition.

The white enamel dial has some faint hairline cracks but they are not too noticeable to the naked eye. Blued steel Breguet style hands (initially set by way of the pin set mechanism), a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A later black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
