The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is signed Omega, and it has the serial number 6,005,859 which dates it back to around 1924. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has the Omega name and also images of various medals won.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is 800 silver and there are Continental hallmarks inside the outer case back. Originally there was rose gold wash detail around the case back and also around the bezel but a lot of this has worn off over the years. There are a few little knocks to the back but nothing too serious.
The watch glass has little marks across it, probably from being in a pocket.
The enamel dial is signed with the Omega name. There is some damage at numbers 2 and 3, and a hairline crack.
