Gents 1960 Longines Flagship Wrist Watch

Description

A gents Longines Flagship wrist watch.

The watch has an automatic movement, calibre 340, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Longines on the rotor, and it has the serial number 11,529,193 which dates it back to 1960.

The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and the condition is good with just light surface marks. The case has the gold Longines Flagship panel to the back (originally it would have had enamel detail but this has fallen out over the years). The winding crown is a later non-Longines replacement.

The black dial is in beautiful condition; it has been professionally refinished at some stage. Original hands (a little of the infill is missing), centre seconds hand and minute markers.

A later black leather strap with contrasting white stitching has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
