The 8" diameter silvered brass dial calibrated from 28" to 31" with weather indications and fine quality foliate engraving to the dial centre. Signed to the dial centre "Dom Gugeri, Boston, Warranted"
The barometer reading is indicated by a blued steel hand and can be recorded with a brass set hand controlled with the set key below the main dial.
The dial enclosed within a heavy cast brass bezel.
The silvered brass temperature scale is calibrated from 0º to 120º Fahrenheit, with a coloured alcohol thermometer.
The barometer is in fine original condition and is in perfect working order, accurately measuring changes in weather patterns as a result of changes in atmospeheric pressure.
The mechanism has been expertly cleaned and overhauled, with the glass tube thoroughly cleaned and the mercury within cleaned by triple filtration.
