Description

A beautiful "Plum Pudding" mahogany Victorian Period antique pedestal desk. Having a rectangular top with rounded corners veneered in beautiful plum pudding mahogany with an inset blue leather writing surface with a Greek key tooled border and having sliding secretary ends again with blue leather writing surfaces. The desk with nine rectangular oak lined drawers each having mahogany turned drawer pulls and the fronts again veneered in plum pudding mahogany. The pedestals with rounded corners and panelled mahogany sides. The desk has a panelled mahogany reverse so this desk can be used free standing in the centre of a room. Supported on a rounded cornered plinth. The desk having an intricate central locking system, when the central knee hole drawer is locked, this secures all the other drawers. French 1870-1880

Dimensions: 63" wide x 33" deep x 29" high (kneehole 24" high x 28" wide)

Condition: This desk is in stunning condition, cleaned and waxed.

This desk splits into three sections for easy transportation
