James Reeve (Quinneys of Warwick) has dated this piece to the Regency era.
It has 3 drawers; one at each end at the top and one full length double drawer at one end - see photos. The back ( shown in the last photo) is the same as the front but the bottom drawer is faux.

The top is cross banded and boxwood strung. The drawers are boxwood edged and have ivory escutcheons. The square tapering legs are also boxwood edged and terminate with little brass casters
It is a very pretty and useful item of furniture
When closed it is 50cm x 37cm (19.5 x 14.5")
When open it is 50cm x 86cm)
It is only 69cm (27") high which generally works well by a sofa or bed
