Description

An absolute gem of a box, made from sterling silver gilt (gold over silver) smothered to the top and sides with a deep red guilloche enamel and finished with white enamel beads.

The underside of both the box and lid are marked, for the famous Norwegian silversmith David Anderson. This was produced for the English market as it has the full import mark with an full English hallmark for Birmingham 1898.

Excellent condition measuring 1 5/8" in diameter.
