A 17th. Century German Armada Chest with typical strap work and hand riveting. The carrying handles, clasps and secret escutcheon all original, the dummy lock plate to the front has battle scars as half is missing.The polished steel key a later replacement.The interior having 5 sprung catches and a decorative back plate engraved with mythical creatures.The base with signs of rust and deterioration.
