Description

This fabulous Cordiform Pendant was made by Tekke Turkmen and dated on the back on each of the hinges, 1326 or 1908 in the solar calendar. It is also inscribed in the top centre back. This magnificent piece of Turkmen jewellery is fire-gilded and contains one table-cut carnelian in the centre and surrounded by cabuchon-cut carnelians.
